With the upcoming Path Of Exile Heist , you may be curious about what will happen to the characters who have been working hard for the past few months.
Once the Path of Exile Heist comes out, what will happen to your character. Will I lose my character progress and POE Currency when the new "Path Of Exile" expansion alliance comes out?
The "Alliance" in Path Of Exile refers to the role-playing world and server. Each new extension creates a new league, usually named after the corresponding extension.
On September 18, 2020, the Heist Alliance will start and end the Harvest Alliance. This switch makes some players worry about characters they took a long time to build and hone – can you keep them?
The answer is yes. When the player ends the "Challenge League", the character will be transferred to the upper league, usually the "standard" league (unless you play hardcore and are not dead, in which case you will be sent to the "hardcore").
In most cases, players will not lose their original role. However, if you want to start a new league, you must Buy POE Orbs. All map progress, storage items and other equipment will be transferred to the standard league and you must start from the beginning. (Even if you keep small transaction cosmetics and purchase them all in your account)
The league usually takes 13 weeks, so the best time to start a new role in the challenge league is to start taking advantage of the expansion. If you are not sure, please read our article on "Path Of Exile: Heist" to see if it helps you.
